Here are some news that happened recently: I have released 2 singles.
- My composition “Wandering E Flat” was released as a part of this beautiful Piano Day compilation album “Piano Whispers 01” by Barcelona label @ad21music, that is compiling 51 talented composers and pianists from all over the world. I wrote this tune, this little theme around E Flat at first as a draft on my mobile, and as it went playing on loop, I tried to come up with different chords that I felt went well together. So this composition is really a result of playing around on piano on different chords and motifs.
2. Last week for the first time I released a rework of my own composition “Presence”. Done by a Latvian electronic music producer @shrialexey. (Here is the original piece).
I met Shri Alex at one of my concerts last year. This renowned Latvian electronic music producer fell in love with my sound and offered to remix one of my tracks. I was thrilled when he chose Presence—my all-time favorite.
Here is what Shri Alex says about the process of reworking Presence:
“I was walking along the beach and listening to the ‘Compilation” album and this composition intuitively seemed to me to be an ideal candidate for my remix. I spent a long time choosing the right “sound option” for this track. Finally I found an option I loved the most.
My job as a sound designer allows me to work a lot with sounds, and it turned out that I added some extra emotional context to the remix and it sounds nearly cinematic now I think.
I used both analog and VST synths plus samples from my huge collection to build the remix.
Usually every musical track I mix and master in professional studio to get the proper results: so it would sound equally perfect on nearly every sound system. Please do enjoy the remix and we are already working on a new one which will be released quite soon too. Stay tuned )”
Something else very cool happened in April – I received not only one, but 2 Golden Certificates!! They are awarded by @laipa.biedriba (Latvian Performers’ and Producers‘ Association) to every track that reaches 2M streams. For me it was two compositions: “Collecting Memories” 📀 and “Lullaby” 📀. This is the first time in Latvia when INSTRUMENTAL music has been awarded with this Certificate. I am beyond grateful to anyone who contributed to these numbers of streams. I know, it’s many of you!

We also celebrated Easter 🐰, and my dad’s 75th birthday this month. I continue working on my 3rd studio album and hopefully if everything goes as planned, it will see the daylight still this year. Of course, I will share more information about it in the coming weeks. I almost said “in the coming days” – but then I remembered – in two days me and my husband we are off to Rome to celebrate our 10 year marriage anniversary 🥂- so I do not plan to be online too much 🎉.
